This year's walk was dedicated to Sappy!, a 10-month old pup who has been living with a cleft pallet. Sappy was brought to the shelter at only a couple HOURS of age, her mom rejected her. A volunteer took Sappy home and tried to bottle feed, but with no luck, She had to be tube fed. Finally She figured out the poor sappy was born with a cleft pallet, which she has been living with for 10 long months now...After all of that, her foster mom loved Sappy so much that she decided to adopt her!
This year we raised much needed money to help Sappy get the long
awaited surgery she needs to restore her cleft pallet, as well as help all
the animals at the Attleboro Animal Shelter!
All proceeds from FAAS events benefit the Friends of Attleboro Animal Shelter, an all-volunteer,
501(c)(3) organization whose mission is to provide financial support and care to the Attleboro Animal Shelter
for the care and well-being of the unwanted, stray, and needy cats and dogs that pass through the shelter.
